I Spy
21 July 10

Here’s a title that engages all ages in our house. Since David and I find this just as interesting, it would be safe to assume that a teenager could enjoy looking at these books as much as a pre-schooler.

These I Spy books, published by Scholastic, prove to be an ideal companion for our children when we’re travelling. Not only are they scripted with easy-reading words, but they have an initial set of items to look for.

After finding the first set of items hidden within each photo, children can then closely examine the pictures and make up their own I-spy game up. It’s a great book to have while travelling through boring landscapes or when you’re stuck in one place for a long time (e.g. at an airport).

We have a couple different versions of this book. One is an omnibus with several titles within it. A look at Scholastic’s website shows that there are I Spy books for every age group.

If you’re looking for a good book to give a child as a gift, why not consider I Spy? This book is available for about $4 on Book Depository and Amazon.
