Straddie with Tim + Lyla
25 November 09
It’s been special for the girls to have Tim and Lyla visiting briefly. Aisha keeps calling Lyla “my friend”, and whenever she wasn’t around, would ask where she was, and when she was coming back. Lyla, in return, showed great affection to the girls, openly cuddling and kissing them — which they liked!

Today was their last day in Queensland, so David took Tim and Lyla out in the boat to the islands. (He’s trying to get as much use out of the boat before we leave it behind…)
With Brioni being so brave recently, and because Lyla was around to help out, David thought both Brioni and Aisha should come along for the adventure! What a treat for the girls!

Once on the boat, the first stop was at Slipping Sands, where you can ride a boogie board down the very steep sand slope and into the water. David shows how it’s done. The next anchorage was Swan Bay on North Straddie — our favourite spot.
(Yes, Aisha really was eating sand… She’s been doing this for a long time!)

The day went really well, the girls had a fabulous time, and it gave David and Tim a chance to talk about the things that really matter. We’re praying that God will continue to call Tim to full reconciliation with Himself.
Tim and Lyla have headed back south on Tim’s motorbike, probably to escape the hot and muggy weather we’ve been having, and also to do some more camping before they return to Sydney.
