David’s parents Rosie and Hugh (Woodoo) stopped by for a couple nights last week because they had business that brought them to Brisbane. It was nice to welcome them to our looking-ever-better house and show them the improvements since they had last visited.

With Namma staying in the Studio bedroom, the girls enjoyed the opportunity to visit her. (Normally I have the door shut and locked so toys don't migrate into there.)

On their last morning here, we went to the park with them for a short play.

Brioni was the first one to the top of the climbing web.

Namma enjoyed engaging with the girls at the playground.

Woodoo spent some time walking around the park before the 3.5 hour drive home.

The girls started riding down the slide together.

Calista soon gained confidence and started going down the slide by herself.

The girls managed to organise themselves safely on the merry-go-round.

Aisha pushed the merry-go-round.

Of course, for me, I can’t understand how they bear to be away from their adorable grandchildren. (When they left, they said, “We hope to see you again after the arrival of Baby D [in December].”)

As a side-note, later that week I was play the spot-each-letter-of-the-alphabet-in-a-number-plate game with Aisha and Brioni as we drove around. When we reached the letter Q, Aisha said, “Like Woodoo!”
“What do you mean?” I questioned.
“Woodoo’s other name is Q,” she said!

Yes, I suppose “Hugh” is very similar to “Q”.
