On our usual Friday playdate, we kept the kids amused by popping popcorn. We easily worked through three batches of popcorn. The kids loved to watch the popcorn come out of the air-popper.

Popcorn is a whole-grain, so it’s a healthy snack. (Although, because it’s white, somehow I find it hard to wrap my head around that. Somehow I must feel that healthy things can’t be so white.) We served the popcorn with butter and salt and then for our last course, with milk powder — which was a hit.

I’ve heard of adventurous parents who remove the top from the air-popper to provide the kids with some exercise as they snack. Perhaps I’ll work up to that.
