Coming back from Wave Rock, we took a short detour south through Kulin in order to travel along the Tin Horse Highway.

Locals around Kulin take bush art to another level by creating grotesque, anthropomorphic horses out of scrap tin. The number of sculptures peaks in October when farmers use their newly fashioned hay bales to accessorise their sculptures, but all-year-round there are still a stunning number of these horses standing in random positions in paddocks along the main road.

The wind whipping through Kulin was fierce and chilly, even for the middle of summer.
