An easy craft idea
6 May 08
Today I had to offer the kids at playgroup another craft activity, so I chose to show them how to make crepe paper butterflies and caterpillars.
Most of the time was spent painting the butterfly wings, so it was a really simple activity that proved very popular.

Twist a pipe cleaner around some crepe paper, add eyes, and you have a caterpillar. The girls painted glitter on the butterfly's wings before the pipe cleaner was twisted around it to form the body and antenna. I strung the butterfly from a stirring stick to allow it to "fly".

Lauren I think you should seriously consider being on play school. The things you create and get the kids to make are pretty cool. I think you’ve inherited some of your mums craftyness.
