Here’s a fun and simple way to dress up a simple meal of sausages and spaghetti. We tried it last night, and everyone loved it!

(I apologise for the quality of the photos — I was cooking in the dark by candlelight and head-torch.)

It's a simple (but slow) process to poke sticks of uncooked spaghetti through pieces of sausage. (Australian slang for sausages is "snags".)

Boil the spaghetti as you usually do. Even though the long sticks may not fit in the pot right away, when they soften, they'll sink down and submerge themselves.

Serve with your choice of sauce (or plain). They're especially fun to eat by forking the sausage and twirling the pasta around the fork!

Please note: No animals were harmed in the making of this blog post. We choose to eat vegetarian sausages.
