Interview: Aisha at 7
7 February 12
On our children’s birthdays, I interview them, asking them the same set of questions each year. This allows us to see how they’re changing and if they have interests that remain the same. I call these the Birthday Interviews. This is Aisha’s fourth interview.

What are you going to be when you grow up?
I have three things: a hairdresser, a massage-er and a midwife?
What’s that going to be like?
?I’ll be travelling around, helping people when they’re pregnant or when they need a massage.
What are your favourite toys?
The ?iPhone (laughs)?
Any other toys?
?Lego
Who are your best friends?
Abuoch, Zeke and Faith
What makes you happy?
?Tickling and laughing?
Anything else??
No . Going to the fair. The problem with answering the question is this: everything makes me happy when I’m in Righteousness and everything makes me sad if I’m in Cranky Croc.
What makes you sad?
?People taking stuff away from me and when they’re being mean.?
When you dream at night, what do you dream about??
I dream about mixed-up movies.
What do you like to do with David??
Help him on his iPhone.?
What do you like to do with Lauren??
Help her with Elijah.
What’s your favourite colour?
?Black, purple and red.
What’s your favourite book?
?The books that have the funny shape people. [Little Men series]
What does David do during the day?
?Help us kids and work with us.
What does Lauren do during the day??
Play on the computer and write.
What do you do during the day?
?Read books and play with toys.
Want to see how she’s changed? You can read Aisha’s interviews when she turned six, five or four.

Aaaah, this is lovely! What a great idea… It’s not my son’s or daughter’s birthday, but I would love to do this with them… ;-) So love it! You don’t mind right? Black purple and red? Such bold colours… she’s tooooo sweet.

I find it rather interesting you let your children call you by your first names and not “mum” and “dad”…
