We’ve had several days and nights of rain, and the level of Glendon Brook has risen considerably. The road out of this place is now cut off as the bridge is impassable, so all the Rainbow Family campers will be staying here until the water goes down.

This is the place where I normally gather water from the creek for washing up. All the rocks are covered by the high water.

Rainbow Family members have been working together to move all the camp-sites that are camped close to the creek in case the water rises higher overnight.

It’s been great to see how everyone at the Rainbow Gathering pulls together in a crisis. Prior to the creek water rising, we were sitting in our camps waiting for the drizzle to stop. Now, we’re galvanised into action — ferrying equipment, tarps and tents off the low-lying areas.
