We’ve driven south of Sydney to the small seaside village of Austinmer just north of Wollongong to meet up with David’s mother Roselin. She’s a minister at the local Uniting Church. When we were heading down, we didn’t know that David’s father Hugh was also driving through the night to make the family reunion complete!

Austinmer Beach, November 2011
When the girls woke up this morning, they could explore a lovely playground or sandy beach.

It’s been a year since we last saw Roselin, so we’ve had a lot to catch up on. We’ve been to New Zealand in the interim, and Roselin experienced her own adventures in New Zealand’s South Island last month. Of course, our girls have changed a lot since she last spent time with us, so we hung out peacefully in a park where she could play with our girls.

Hugh and Roselin Fisher, November 2011
Hugh drove through the night from his home in Grafton to join us and Roselin in Austinmer.

Hugh and David Fisher, November 2011
While we were sitting in the park, a number of luxury cars on tour from Sydney came in and parked close by. Hugh always enjoys looking at fine vehicles, and so we suspect this show was just for him!

Roselin in the truck, November 2011
Roselin spent time playing with the girls in the back of our truck.

It’s great to finally be here, to see where Roselin works and lives. She moved down almost two years ago, and this is the first time that we’ve been able to visit! Next time, we hope it won’t be so long between trips!
