Giveaway: Foot scourer for summer heels
12 November 10
This item calls itself a chiroprody sponge, and although it resembles a pumice stone, it works much better than one. Although small, it’s a great gift for anyone who wears open shoes a lot and ends up with calloused or cracked heels.

My sister Carla recommended this foot scourer (available from chemists) to me almost four years ago, and I have been delighted with the results. It’s so easy to use — I just add soap and water and scrub my heels with it while I’m in the shower. It removes dead, cracked and calloused skin, restoring my feet to their youthful true selves.
So, in the true spirit of generosity, I’d like to hear if you know anyone who likes to look after their feet. Or perhaps they just love to wear open shoes. They’ll love this. (Please familiarise yourself with the guidelines for this giveaway before you leave a comment.)

Hi Lauren,
This post made me think of my mom who is currently living in Niger. Her heels have always been a problem spot for her, getting dry to the point of deep cracks that bleed and look terribly sore. On her recent visit we introduced her to pedicures and I know that on her next visit she will have me quickly schedule her in for a pedi (with the usual dr/dentist/etc. appointments). I’ll keep my eyes open for this product here and send her one to see if it helps. :) Thanks!

Funnily enougth also thought of my mom when I read this one. We come from a family of cracked heal sufferers and my mom can never afford to do a pedi. Every now and then myself or her best friend treat her but the rest of the time she just lands up leaving it. They are sore Im sure but she never complains.
We have tried everything on the market and nothing helps.

Congratulations to Jemma who wins this foot scourer for her mom! And I've been inspired to get another scourer so I can give one to Mizasiwa too!
