Giveaway: Pegs for the sunny line
6 November 10
In my first giveaway, I’m offering a huge set of super-duper clothes-pegs that can handle being left on the line, out in the sun, for years and years — without perishing. It’s perfect for the busy mum who doesn’t want to bring the pegs in every time she takes the washing off the line!
I’m actually a lazy person. Years ago, when David and I were playing a game with other adults, we had to choose two adjectives to describe ourselves that started with the letter of our names. My honest two were “laughing” and “lazy”: laughing, lazy Lauren. (David’s was “downright” and “dangerous”!)
Anyhow, I think it’s pointless to take the pegs off the line every time. It seems like extra work for little reward. Previously, I thought I had to remove the clothes-pegs so that they’d last longer, but that was before I invested in these never-say-die pegs!

I’ve got these pegs on my line, and some of them have been hanging out in the harsh Queensland sun for over ten years! So they work. These pegs (sold in Big W) are bundled with white pegs too, but the white pegs last only a couple months before they start snapping. It must be something in the plastic that is not as UV-resistant as the yellow and green ones.
With a large family, I use lots and lots of pegs. So I’m offering a huge stack of these to someone who can use them. I’ve even picked out the white pegs, because they’re as useless as cheap versions.
These pegs have previously featured on Sparkling Adventures as eye candy, as background noise, and as a feature in their own right.
So, in the true spirit of generosity, I’d like to hear if you know anyone who would benefit from some high-quality pegs they can use and leave on the line for years. (Please familiarise yourself with the guidelines for this giveaway before you leave a comment.)

Now who would I like to give these pegs to? I know someone with 4 children, who is a busy working mother. She has little hands that help her bring in the washing of an evening. If I won these pegs I would give them to your big sister. She has almost as much washing as you. I would like to keep them for myself really. Can I say I will give them to Stewart. MMMM decisions. I guess I will give them to Carla. LOL

Oh very cool. My sister in law has two boys who wet their beds fairly regularly and I think she’d love some extra pegs to hang out all that wet bedding to dry.
