The more the merrier
6 October 10
We love opening our house to friends and family. And because we have large, sprawling home, it’s an especially good place for a large number of children to hang out.
Like yesterday. I looked after a friend’s boys while she visited the hospital, and a mutal home-schooling friend may have heard about this and decided to pop by to join the fun.
It was great. We had seven children running from activity to activity, one walking baby performing upon demand and one crawling baby not wanting to miss out on the action. Here are some pictures of the fun that we had:

I just love having people over. It doesn’t matter how clean or tidy the house is, I would rather people just turn up and enjoy themselves than feel like they needed to book an appointment to see us!
How about you? Do you prefer people to call first before they come to visit?

I just love these pictures! I have the same idea about people coming over to our place. I think the title speaks for itself: the more the merrier :)
But to tell the truth what I love the most about these pictures is the fine whether you have over there. Well, I’m writing from the other end of the globe – from Europe. We have awful rainy autumn here…

Hi there, thanks for stopping by my blog. Here is the link to that Unschooling family, but now I am not so sure they are from Australia. Maybe she is American but he is Australian. I don’t know. :) they are Sparklings too!!!

Oh I also love having people over! My one big gripe in life at the moment is that we live in a small house with a small garden. As a person who regularly wants to host big parties with 50 plus people (and, believe me, we’ve done it, although it’s tight!) I DREAM of having a “large, sprawling home”!!!
I don’t mind if people drop by without calling first, as long as they realise that my house is usually an utter pigsty. I don’t mind as long as they don’t mind. :-)

Oh good to know you don’t mind people just dropping in. Whenever I make my much desired trip to Australia I’ll be sure to pop by for a visit.
