Again, I’ve had to lift the bar on fun activities because my two-year-old is being left out of her sisters’ games. This time, I turned to my modest make-up bag and reached for an eye-liner to turn the girls’ faces into fierce animals.

Calista wanted a tiger face.

I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to draw on the girls’ faces with the make-up pencil. Now, if only I could improve my artistic abilities so that I don’t have to turn down a request for a “horse face” or an elephant!

Brioni's lion face was a little more tricky because she wanted a "beard" all around her face.

Aisha, 5yo, August 2010
This Gruffalo is very fierce!

I drew Aisha’s Gruaffalo face from memory, and I’m quite pleased at how it turned out.

I love this picture because it shows that Cali has *no idea* what she is supposed to be doing with her hands! (Her pose is less a scary animal and more an advertisement for a headache, don't you think?)

After the day’s fun, any residues of the eye-liner face-paint was very easy to remove with baby wipes. I’ll be remembering this fun distraction and doing it again soon!
