. . . another toddler!

Yesterday evening, as Aïcha and I visited a supermarket, there was a boy in a trolley who was very tired & very hungry & very loud.

Aïcha found him fascinating, from the sounds of his wailing to the dummy that sometimes stayed in his mouth.

We surreptitiously followed the boy & his mum up and down the aisles so Aïcha could keep watching him.

At the check-out and driving back home, Aïcha talked non-stop about the boy, how he was crying, was tired, left in his car to go to his house, etc. Even the check-out chick commented on Aïcha’s one-track mind, saying it was time she learned some new words!
